Dream Map began in 2019 with Hungarian composer and multi-instrumentalist Norbert Gobor and Dutch vocalist and lyricist Vivian Franken. Working together across borders, they built a world from melodies, words and a shared love of storytelling.
That world became The Other Side. Released on May 21, 2021, the debut concept album follows the Wanderer through light and darkness, wonder and danger — an extraordinary journey in thirteen chapters.
A fan-supported Kickstarter campaign helped bring the album to CD, with shipments announced in January 2023. In July 2025, bassist and vocalist Bart Van Voorden joined Dream Map as work on the second album began.
