A Breath Before the End

Unlike the chaos of River of Death, Eternity begins with soft, haunting tones—piano and airy strings setting a tone of reflection rather than conflict.
It feels like a pause, a single deep breath before stepping into the unknown.

For the Wanderer, eternal rest lies ahead, but the question haunts him:

“I would be free, but is it enough?”

His heart is heavy, burdened by sins, mistakes, and broken promises from the life he left behind.
Was this journey redemption—or punishment? Was this strange world a purgatory, testing the worth of his soul?

The Plea for Mercy

In the first verse, he turns to the only power that can decide his fate:

“Goddess of the mist, take my soul and set me free!”

He calls upon the ruler of the in-between, surrendering judgment to her hands.
Fear grips him—not of death, but of unworthiness.

The second verse echoes with regret:

“I cannot change the past, this will be the final judgement of everything I have done.”

There is no going back.
His final request is simple, almost childlike:

“Guide me into your warm embrace once more.”
