River of Death – Shadows, Hallucinations & a Deadly Choice

The aftermath of the witch’s curse takes its toll.
Our Wanderer, once defiant, now finds himself teetering on the edge of despair in the chilling eleventh track, “River of Death.”
This is no ordinary river—it’s a manifestation of hopelessness, a phantom current pulling him toward oblivion.

Captured and Broken

The song opens with a foreboding intro, where low strings and pounding drums set an oppressive tone.
The Wanderer’s first words are drenched in dread:

“All I can see is darkness, I feel the heavy air.”

The toxic fumes from the witch’s spell still cling to his lungs, distorting his senses.
The vines have vanished—but only to reveal something worse:
ghostly figures closing in, whispering voices clawing at his sanity.

The Voices of Death

Hallucinations swirl like a suffocating fog as the chorus strikes:

“Don’t run, we’ll never let you leave!”

Each word feels like a chain, binding him to despair.
The second chorus deepens the menace:

“Give in to darkness calling you, death wins, no matter what you do.”

And then, the ultimate blow:

“You know there’s no escaping here!”

The mist thickens, his limbs feel heavy, and the pull of the River of Death grows stronger with every note.

A Desperate Struggle

The bridge becomes chaos incarnate:
sharpened snares and a throbbing bassline create a sense of panic.
The Wanderer fights to stay upright, to stay alive, battling not just the hallucinations—but his own mind.

Then, a flicker of hope:
the spirit’s voice returns, fierce and commanding, breaking through the darkness in the outro:

“Find the strength to resist, run as fast as you can or you’ll go down with them!”

She repeats her plea like a mantra, urging him toward the light before it’s too late.

What Awaits Beyond the Shadows?

Will the Wanderer heed her call—or will the river claim him?
The choice is his… if he still has the strength to choose.
