Witchcraft – The Dark Forest’s Deadly Spell
After narrowly escaping the deadly call of the sirens, our Wanderer finds no rest. His next trial begins immediately as he steps into a vast, shadowed forest under a dying sky. The tenth track, “Witchcraft,” is where danger intensifies—and the stakes become even higher.
From Pillar to Post
There’s no gentle lead-in here—the song erupts with urgency, making the listener feel the Wanderer’s dread as night swallows the last traces of light.
The warning comes early:
“Don’t venture deep into the woods, or you’ll be lost forever.”
But it’s too late. She is already watching.
Hidden in the dark, she waits—a mistress of ancient power, thriving on those who lose their way.
The Witch’s Voice
The pre-chorus delivers her chilling promise:
“Your soul belongs to me, my magic will set you free!”
This is no offer of mercy—it’s a declaration of ownership. The chorus strikes hard, her voice now venomous:
“One spell and I will have you down on your knees,
you will bow beneath my power!”
Every note drips with menace. The instrumentation mirrors the trap closing in:
branch-like riffs coil tighter, percussion pounds like a racing heartbeat, and choirs echo her dark spell.
The Forest Turns Against Him
As the verses progress, the forest itself becomes a weapon.
The air grows thick, poisonous, as if breathing magic.
The Wanderer’s vision blurs, his steps falter. Still, he clings to the path—his only lifeline through the blackened trees.
The bridge erupts with chaos:
menacing choirs and orchestration surge as vines of thorned roses strike like serpents, wrapping his legs, dragging him down.
His silent plea to the spirit gives him away.
Then—her laughter.
Manic. Echoing. Everywhere.
The Final Chorus
The witch’s voice cuts through the cacophony, triumphant and merciless:
“As you see I now have you down on your knees,
you will stay with me forever!”
The music crescendos into pure darkness, leaving the listener with one burning question:
Is this the end of the Wanderer—or does hope still remain?
